Almost Legal

Paperwork Mountain

Sinners and Saints is off to a great start. We’ve been enjoying meeting for dinner and Bible study on Sunday evenings, enjoyed an Easter feast and worship together, and we’re making neighborhood connections. We love eating together, so Ramen Nights at Lounjin have given us a chance to get to know each other while hanging out on the Ave. These are all developments I am excited about, and ways that our community and fellowship are growing deeper. There are a few less-than-glamorous developments I would like to share with our community, which are big steps for the life of the church.

Over the last few weeks, we have applied for and received our Certificate of Incorporation with the State of Washington. This means Sinners and Saints is legally a church! We’re in the process of non-profit approval, and in legal-ese, have our UBI and Federal EIN numbers. We’re waiting on one more piece of paperwork, and we’ll be able to start our federal 501 (c)(3) application. While it might not sound like much, and may not be glamorous ministry work, it feels good to tackle the mountain of paperwork and see some results!
