Seattle rain, cooler temperatures and changing leaves all herald the arrival of Fall. Most elementary, middle and high schools kicked off the school year last week, and college campuses around the city will begin filling all too soon. Here at Sinners & Saints, we would like to invite you to be part of our Fall Launch. Last week, we transitioned from a Sunday evening dinner and Bible Study at our home in Wallingford to a Sunday morning service in the University District. Join us at 11:00 am this Sunday at Lounjin on the Ave.
As we move closer to our goal of becoming a church mindful of its neighborhood, and committed to living out God’s love in Seattle, take a moment and consider how you can partner with us.
Check out the opportunities on our website’s Get Involved page, and consider joining us as an urban missionary. By attending and working with a new churchplant, you have a unique chance to continue living at home and working at your job, while joining others in building a missional community in Seattle. You could help coordinate our Community Involvement opportunities, connecting folks with ESL tutoring, the University District Food Bank, or the ROOTS Youth Homeless Shelter. Or, get creative and share your skills one of the Worship and Arts coordinators for the community. These are only two of the incredible mission opportunities available at Sinners & Saints. Building a church takes a community; if you have ever wanted to be hands-on, practical, and relational about living out your faith, a churchplant is the place for you!
Prayer, resource and financial support are all other great avenues to work with us in reaching our neighborhood and city with the hope that comes out of the Gospel message, hope that we are all invited to join together with our neighborhood in the restoration of our souls and the building of God’s kingdom on earth as in heaven. I can’t wait to see what Fall has in store for our community!
